I started collecting vintage pens, mostly
obtained at estate sales
and online auction sites. But there was a problem. Most
of these pens needed extensive restoration in order to be good
useable writers again.
Over the years I studied the various filling systems and
techniques needed to make these pens good reliable writers.
After a lot of research and the guidance of some of the best pen restorers in the US,
I
developed my skills until I was satisfied that I could now offer this
service to you, my customers.
Of course during that time I also continued to collect fountain
pens. Many many fountain pens... Some were purchased strictly
for the purpose of learning how to restore them properly. Many
were obtained as part of my personal collection of interesting
and unique pens. Others have been purchased for the purpose of
restoring them and offering them to you, my valued customer.
The
primary focus of my personal collection are the pens made by the Parker and Sheaffer
companies. But you will find all kinds of very nice vintage pens offered in our For
Sale area. They run the gamut from very good user grade pens
that have been restored to excellent writing ability to the
more valuable and collectible examples that have also been restored.
This hopefully will give you the choice you want in a good vintage
fountain pen.
